It's all been said by everyone already, but I'll say it again. An awesome day out, I've still got the on my face. The rain at lunchtime made for a bit of fun too.

Thanks to all who were involved in getting the day booked and running. And thanks to the guys manning the Christmas tree lights too, it must have been a bit cool standing there in the wind.

It was great fun jousting with people out on track, and watching the attitude on the cars in front. It was great entertainment. And what was the deal with the RS Focus and the hazards flashing? Is that one of those European laws where the hazards come on automatically under heavy braking? Damn that thing was fast, in the dry and wet too.

My race engineer (actually just my brother-in-law who can make sense of all the squiggly lines) has analysed the data and determined that (in his words) "You, like Dad, are bloody soft heading up the hill! That left hander is supposed to be flat" (the spot where the dotted line is). Also I need to be slowing the car down more in the tighter turns, that should give a higher top speed on the straight bits after.
(Mine is the red line, my brother-in-laws best lap is the other line)

Can't wait for the next one

Great day, thanks to all on the organising team.
Had to finish a bit early due to rear wheel bearing failure (that’s why I came off so much that sounds like a good excuse)
Pete, I had enough trouble recognising members never mind your spread sheet and graph. (Very good tool though).

What a fantastic event. I believe it is okay to be so bold and say that we all cannot wait for the next one......Thanks to all that organised and ran the event. I can name so many that helped; you know who you are and many thanks...

Pete H - awesome graph and info, I want to log this in future, just brilliant...It really is rather informative and excellent for comparisons...One thing I note is max speeds in the areas around the track and when you where on and off the loud pedal...

Willo, it doesn't matter how quick old Pinky was, it gave me the biggest smile to see the old girl getting around. Great to see and good on you for getting her out there

I echo everyone else's comments and wish to thank all who organised such an awesome day! I had a blast and am really looking forward to the next Wakefield outing so I can improve my lines and get the lap times down a bit further. The fish hook sure is a doozy and I still couldn't get that right by the end of the day. I also need to stop wussing out through the kink at turn one as I am probably losing about half a second there alone.

As usual there was a great mix of cars and there was never a dull moment throughout the whole day, weather excluded... but that in itself added some interesting variety with some wet track action.

I will upload some vids (and possibly pics) soon...

That's because the dads have paid for the car and built it, so we're a bit more cautious about bending them.

The sons don't even put their hands in their pockets to shout you a lunch.
