Hello all, Just a quick note wishing everyone going to Wakefield Park tomorrow good luck and I hope you all have a great fun (and safe) day.

I was hoping to come down tomorrow for moral support, to take same photos and cheer from the stands but unfortunately I have actual been sick a couple of days this month (very inconvenient to actually be sick for a sick day) so another day off is not really a good look.

Anyway best of luck to all, Glenn

I'm keeping an eye on NATSOFT. Good turn-out in Session One and Gordon is having a go by the look of his impressive lap times! Focus RS I assume?

That was one of the best days I have had. Thanks to the people who organised it, I really enjoyed your efforts.

Days like this really make you appreciate being part of a club that has the ability to put on an event like this.

well said.

I had a great day aswell.

A breif report of my day.

Started off terrible because after fitting new RDA slotted rotors newpads. I had a little issue with the retaining spring on the brake caliper.

So after spending all morning working out that there are no spare retaining springs for ford focus or mazda 3's between Sydney & Canberra. I finaly worked out you dont need them anyway :)

So before my next session I went out as a passenger in a friends Mazda 3 MPS & had a good run with seans XR5, both so mutch quicker than the zetec :'(

Then I finally got a good run in the dry but I had to constanly be aware of a white RS that would randomly come out of knowhere to lap me. I also had good run with the older BMW & also found that I was pretty evenly matched with an Robs LR Focus ST170 & the Swales Cortina.

Then after lunch the heavens opened up & we had a wet session. Which I had a ball in. I also made up a bit of time on the quicker guys.
My best time in the wet was 1:38.6620.
The highlight in this session was going too hot into a corner thinking that was close, only to look in the mirror & see Joel in the cortina very crossed up after also going in very hot aswell :)

After that session It dried out & we then had a few more dry runs & made up 1.4 seconds from my previous run in the dry.

My quickest time of the day ended up being a 1:23.5130 & made an improvement of 5.2 seconds from my first session.

Thanks to everyone who participated including spectators and support crew. I hope you all enjoyed the passenger sessions.

The timing certainly added to the day. We will be putting this event on the calendar again for September next year. Simon, we wouldn't have an issue in hosting a combined day next year.

That was the first time I have driven that track and it was a blast. The first and last corners were certainly difficult to get right all the time, as some of the in-car video will no doubt show.....
