Last years destination to Budgewoi was terrific with plenty of picnic areas and takeaway shops nearby for lunch, so we thought another cruise would be great.
We will be starting from the old toll booths at Berowra again rather than the Thornleigh McDonalds. Meet at around 9.00am for 9.30ish departure.
More details to follow a little closer to the date.
I will let them know what our plans are and they can meet us there or not...I'd say they would be keen. Same format as the last cruise then Theo? Easy as we already have a full route map! If agreed I can send an updated flyer and hope to make this one even more successful. The cruise takes in some great windy black top and the destination was picturesque.
I did the observation run today...As expected, very wet....Mini lakes next to the lake.
Options for lunch are the Pub, along with a couple of Fish and Chips shops 200m away tops.
There is a huge undercover picnic area. If the weather is good then space is ample out in the reserve. Plenty of parking too. If the popular spots are taken (near the undercover area and road), I suggest the overflow car park on the waters edge is EVEN BETTER! Awesome for some lakeside photos...
Thanks for organising Mark, yes waters edge sounds good. The take away from the fish & chips shops was pretty good too.
I think the RS club is on a run that they previously cancelled because of bad weather. The forecast is for sunshine all week, so should be good. Looking forward to it.
