I was impressed with your car too Simon. It looked so well hooked up.

What a brilliant day out. I had an absolute blast. Thanks for organising it and sorting us out on the day.

Thanks to Mark too for taking me for a ride in YBCOS. Holy moley what an animal A bloody incredible experience.
And at the other end of the spectrum, thanks for the ride in the mk2 Neale. Awesome work getting along for the day after your altercation with the wildlife. I absolutely love your mk2, its just awesome, such a laugh rolling around the track dragging the door handles on the ground

Do you know if we can get all our lap times off the Natsoft site somewhere? Or is the fastest times all they can give us?

yes tim, a limo is what you need (and you too sean, hope you car is sorted ok)I know that from my RSfoc, it just handles peddle to the metal around corners.

what were you driving "hak73"? i should have introduced myself

as for natsoft click on "Ind.lap" access next to the "result access" for a full run down on everyones times.

any pics or vidies from anyone??????

Ah ha, thanks for that Simon, I've found the lap times now.

I'm Peter and I was in the Laser sedan. What is the makeup of your suspension setup for the mk1? I'll be happy if my mk1 ends up handling half as good as yours does!

Thanks to everyone who came out on the day. It really is a heap of fun pushing yourself and the car as hard as you dare.

The Laser performed well on the day, flexing it's 1.6L automatic powered muscle. This time around I managed to get faster and faster as the day progressed.

There were plenty of passengers going out in the cars so it looks like everyone had a great time too, not just the drivers.

Here is the timing with cars added.

...Peter, glad you enjoyed the experience. It was a pleasure to take such a top lad for a thrill run. Will show you the video one day...

I won't put any photos onto here as it might cause the page to take a while to load but this one is worth it to celebrate 50 years of the Cortina and it's my favourite from the day. It was great to be on the track with these two great cars and the old style helmets added to the affect.

All my photos are here. If anybody wants to copy paste any for their personal use feel free, hopefully I got everyone but it was hard to get the ones that were in my group for obvious reasons. To get the full sized photo. select the photo from the set and click "Actions" which is above the photo next to share and select "View all sizes". Select the size of your choice. If you have any issues let me know and I will email the ones you want.

Thanks to Phil, Theo & Hilton for the day. The TE Cortina was 4.09 seconds quicker this year than last. The bike carb conversion almost sorted. The difference between Joel & I was only .017 sec last year but 2.329 this year. I went 2.466 seconds quicker and happy with that. You can tell who owns the car and does all the work and pays for it, and who just drives it. The car is still strong. Looking forward for the next one. Check out our video on the Small Ford Car Club Facebook page.
