The next walk around for AFD is on Saturday 2nd August, 1.00pm at Warwick Farm. The volunteers for the day should also attend as we will be running through what needs to be done for the day. Don't sweat to much as we will be looking after the prepaid area as last year and then be required on the front gate for about an hour.
I have the extra tickets now so considering the effort we went to with Roy to get them it would be great to see everyone out in force. We have a prime location this year so it should be a great display.
Remember entry on the day is through the function centre gates on Gov. Macquarie Drive. There is no entry into the track from Hume Hwy only Gov. Macquarie drive. You must be in before 8.30am and your entry sticker must be on the car before you turn up. You will not be allowed to put it on by the side of the road.
More later.

I am doing my best to get the gear manufacturer to repair my gearbox under warranty in time for this event. We need two more weeks leaving one week to fit it. |

I know that the three speed traumatic will not fit in the tunnel, the input and output wont adapt, the stick's in the wrong place, oh and handling 500hp could be a challenge |

No meeting point, just turn up. It would be better this way as we have to park you and if your spaced out in time, there would be no traffic jam. By the way a extra ticket has come up due to members car being involved in a accident. So if you want to go and you think your car is up for it contact me. QUICK |

It was a great day, Ned (GT500), Tony (TE Cortina) and Barry (V6 Capri) won the trophies from our club and Chris represented us in the Concourse, the club members voted his Escort as the best Small Ford in our club at last years C&D Day so he received the honour. Our display was commented on by everyone I saw, even as I walked around the day I overheard people talking about it. It was generally said we had the best display in our area in front of the main grand stands. People commented on the quality of the cars the range and the number of cars on display, even delegates and presidents of clubs said ours stood out by a long shot. This was because of the members that put the effort into bringing their cars out to represent and support us, a big thankyou to all of you. Special thanks has to go to a few members that went that little extra but didn't go around telling everyone. Hilton whos car caught on fire in transit to the day but still made it, Jay found he had no brakes in the morning so used his handbrake to get there, Liam came almost from hospital straight to the event, thanks for your commitment fellas. Two Peters, Lowe and Hackney helped the CFC on the gates during the day. Theo his son Alex and Stephen organised parking of the pre-paid non CFC clubs in the early morning hours, Theo our CFC delegate took on other jobs during the day to many to mention and also managed to video the club display. The CFC is made up of 19 clubs each has a delegate that attends a monthly meeting to organise the All Ford Day. I have been to a few of these meetings appart from the pres, vp, treasurer and secretary a few of these delegates really put a lot of effort, time and personal expense in to their job as a club delegate. More than what is expected, Theo has become one of these few and without them All Ford Day would not happen. Thanks Theo you are making the Small Ford Car Club one of the stand out clubs in the CFC and one that can be counted on to help. Thanks to Phil, Mark and Nathan who made life that bit easier on me in the morning setting up our display along with the early birds that helped with the tents. Once again thanks to all that supported the club either with your car or visited us during the day we had lots and I mean lots of membership enquiries. We had the equal 3rd largest display out there, not bad for a club that has been in the CFC for only 2 years, I can see we may be giving the GT Falcon club a run for their money in the next couple of years. |

Congratulations to the trophy winners and a very well done to all members who displayed on the day. The range and quality of cars was amazing.
The sponsors of All Ford Day and the president of the CFC have asked me to pass on congratulations and thank you for putting on an excellent display. They informed me at tonights CFC meeting that we were very close to winning the best club display and would like me to thank everyone for their efforts on the day, they were genuinely impressed.
Now let's all get out to the concourse day in November and really put on a display.
