Not yet I brought it up at the March CFC meeting and they had nothing either, they were going to contact them to find out what the go was for this year.
Kyle mentioned last year that he and Tony (TE Cortina) were interested in going into the main section rather than the club/general display area, and I think they stand a better chance of trophies there. It was my intention to see how much room we could get with the CFC as they pay for the spot, this would save us a couple of hundred dollars for our own. I know they had trouble getting enough cars last year as people were not keen on leaving their car over the weekend and the hassle of drop off and pick up. We still have a few members happy to display their cars over the weekend in a club display and as Theo said the CFC are trying to get one car from each club. I'll wait and see if we can pick up a few extra spaces if the CFC has them available.
Tony and i were talking about it last year but i know of a few cars last year that missed the cut. i'd like to put in the main hall but i don't think i'll have more of the detail work finished, unfortunatley there's not much time left.
The CFC have 30 spots at Motorex 1 car from each club will be asked to go on display as for the rest of the space we have been told that we can use some for a club display. I would like to have about 5 or 6 from our club in a range of models and catagories so if your interested get in contact QUICK
Hey Roy if a spot falls through in the main hall this year can i score a spot with or display again or would you like someone else to have a go this year
I spoke to Jeff from the CFC and he has 25 spaces at Motorex a couple of clubs won't be displaying with the CFC and he is giving our club first option on spaces we have been guaranteed 5 spaces for our club they are Theo-MK1 Escort, Dean-Capri, Hilton- MK1 Cortina, Kyle-MK2 Cortina and John-TF Cortina. I'll let everyone know more info as I get it, Thanks.
