I am working at the boat show that weekend. I will not be able to be there. I don't know whether I can make the meeting Wednesday night either as it is my birthday. Everything is happening on the same dayas something for the club, I will make a good effort to get my car going by ALL Ford day though. If not can you trailer cars there? |

Yes there is trailor parking, can't you cancel your birthday this year. It will work off better in the long run as you get a extra year at the end. |

As a part of our display we will have our new TV/DVD showing photos of previous shows and runs also photo shoots from "Get Featured" and "Small Ford Legends". Scott will be bringing out his lap top to show case our web site/forum. Hopefully Hendo will be showing videos of him avoiding trees at high speed for your entertainment . |

The Cosworth wont be able to make it. The gearbox is currently being held up at the front by a jack and the entire front end of the car is out. Including the suspension. It is just going to be to many hours work to have a rolling shell at the show. Sorry Roy, I have had a genuine attempt at trying to get her back together in time, but there is just too much happening and not enough time. I will however be there on the day to help with setup and running for the day. Next year I should have two cars for you. Hopefully that will make it up for you. |

| It's a shame the cossie won't be there on Sunday always better to take your time though than rush it. Sounds like things are shaping up to be a damn good show. All preparations on my side are slowly coming along ahead of time which is good for a change. How did the meeting go the other morning at Brians? |

No problem Nathan it's a shame you couldn't get it there. It was a quick meeting at Brian's, thanks to everyone that came and grabed their ticket and info. It makes it easy to explain what we should be doing on the day first hand rather than by letter or phone. I really think we are going to make a big impact on the CFC and All Ford Day. THANKYOU to all members displaying and helping on the day. |

Thanks to everyone who came along today,It was really enjoyable We had one of the best displays ever and I think really made an impact on the general public and the CFC . Thanks must go to Roy for his tireless efforts which made today the success it was . There are some very well turned out cars within the club these days, two which I liked today were Peter's Mk1 Lotus Cortina and Chris's Mk1 Escort Twincam. Today is a credit to everyone who displayed their cars, the effort put in was huge and like a few others I know of,we were still working on our cars up until lastnight in order to be there today |

Roy worked his rear cheeks off for this day, and I think he should get his own little trophy. We could all chip in and buy him a project car, but I think he's pretty well set on that front |

THE BIG THANKYOU PARAGRAPH First thanks to Theo, our CFC delegate, for the time he has given to going to meetings and the set up on the CFC side of All Ford Day. Next to our VP Phil and club member Stephen (smcka) for the time they gave to go to walk arounds and the early morning start today to organise the parking for non CFC clubs on display. Now Hilton for set up of the club area this morning and Kyle for display signs and rushing an ad for our C&D Day so we could advertise it today (for which a lot of interest was shown) also Nathan and Mark who ran around and did finishing touches to our display. A big thankyou to all the members who displayed their cars - not one sickie or missing in action; a few break downs but they did make it. The effort that everyone put into their cars for the display was great and did show and, as Phil said, this started weeks ago and continued to this morning in many cases (right Phil). Thanks to John who made up a free standing unit to fly our banner on especially for AFD. Another thankyou to Hendo for setting up a TV/Video with his rallying being shown for the public to view. Lastly to the wives, family and girlfriends that allowed our members the time to make this happen and some of whom came out on the day to have a look and support the club. One person that is not a member and did his fair share of work was Theo's son who helped and aided his father before and during the display.
PS It would be rude, sorry very rude not to accept any project car that you would like to give me. I have a list of cars I still would like to own in the near future, just contact me and I will forward this list to you. I will put photos of the day on our events section for all to look at. |
