Hello all, due to there being limited accommodation in Grenfell we have decided to stay in Cowra on Saturday Night so we can drive to Grenfell on Sunday morning.
So you can book your accommodation in Cowra I have listed some options below. We are planning to meet for dinner on Saturday night at the Services Club so all three of the options are within walking distance.
The meeting place and route for our scenic drive to Cowra is still being planned and will be posted as soon as finalised.

| Don't forget... book your Motel room early and then relax and when the time is here , pack your bag , fill the car up and go..... for a great weekend away |

We are booked in for the Saturday and Sunday nights at Aalana as well.
Apparently some of us are staying Sunday night according to Lynne at the motel???

HENRY LAWSON FESTIVAL GRENFELL (2018 Weekend Getaway )
ITINERARY :
Saturday 9th June :
9 am: Meet at St Mary’s RSL cnr Mamre Rd & Hall St St Mary’s.
Park adjacent to the old train in Hall St. Have breakfast before you leave home or McDonald’s , Hungry Jack’s and the BP Service Station at the start have food.
10am: Depart for Cowra via the Western Motorway then Gt Western Hwy ( A32 ).
12 pm: Stop at the Caltex Garage at Yetholme for rest, refreshments and fuel if necessary.
12.45 pm: Depart Yetholme and continue on Gt Western Hwy (A32) through Bathurst and take the Mid Western Hwy (A41) to Cowra.
3 pm: Arrive Cowra and book into your accommodation.
REST OR EXPLORE BEFORE :-
6.45 pm: Meet for dinner at the Cowra Services Club Bistro. (tables are booked in the name of the SFCC).
7.15 pm dinner.
Sunday 10th June :
7.45 am Meet at the driver reviver area adjacent to McDonald’s (turn left just over the Lachlan River bridge. Note should the driver reviver area be full assemble in the area closer to the river.
8.15 am Convoy run to Grenfell via the A24 (drive time approx 40 mins).
8.55 am Arrive at Grenfell where you will be directed to park by the Festival officials.
2pm Conclusion of the event.
You are then free to extend your weekend and explore if you wish or return to Sydney.
The Japanese Gardens and prisoner of war camp in Cowra are definitely worth a look.

Thanks for the itinerary John.
As we are coming from down Nowra way, we will meet you guys in Cowra. As much and all as I enjoy your company, traipsing up thru Sydney (2 trips this week already) sends a shiver!
Your drive will be the more scenic that's for sure |
