From WOI Website: I Have highlighted important notes, good thing is we are back on a grass area, down side is you cannot leave before 5:30pm, no exceptions, see notes
Car and Bike Club Registrations For Wings Over Illawarra 2018 As in previous years we would like to offer the owners of classic vehicles the opportunity to display their vehicles at Wings Over Illawarra 2018 as part of the event. Owners wishing to be part of the display will need to register their club and vehicles below.
IMPORTANT - Please read the following before registering!
Due to a number of factors, including scheduled Regular Public Transport Services now operating from the airport, additional large aircraft acquired by the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society and an increase in airport infrastructure, the Wings Over Illawarra layout has changed and as a result the location and size of the display area for classic vehicles has also changed for 2018. •The classic vehicle display area will be located on the grass area immediately south of the east west runway and adjacent to the main entry gate. •Due to the limited space, the area will be restricted to approximately 80 vehicles on each day. •Vehicle access to the display area will involve crossing the main public thoroughfare inside the main access gate and as such vehicles must be parked in the display area and engines switched off by 8:45am. •In the interest of public safety there will be NO vehicle movements during the the time the public access gates are open, 9:00am - 5:00pm. •Similarly display vehicles will be required to remain on display until the conclusion of the show and public have exited the event site. •Vehicle access gate will be open between 7:00am and 8:30am to allow access and will be locked at 8:30am and not re-opened until 5:00pm. •Please ensure you can stay for the entire day before registering your vehicle as under no cirumstances will vehicles be permitted to move to and exit the gates between 9:00am and 5:00pm. •If for some reason (eg. family emergency) you do need to leave the event site between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm your vehicle must stay on site and you must make alternative arrangements.
Vehicle registration will close at at 5:00 pm on Friday 20th April, 2018 unless space is filled prior, in which case vehicle registration will close earlier.
To comply with insurance requirements all vehicle owners wishing to display their vehicle at Wings Over Illawarra must be a current member of an approved registered club and the club registered with the organisers of Wings Over Illawarra. See below for registering your club.
As a special thank you for those displaying cars or bikes, drivers/riders of participating vehicles will be issued with a complimentary entry ticket and admitted at no charge. Vehicle passengers however, will be required to either purchase a ticket online prior to the event or enter via the public access gates to purchase their ticket. All tickets will be scanned on entry, including complimentary tickets.
Vehicle owners can choose to attend Saturday, Sunday or both days of the event, and your complimentary ticket issued will reflect your choice selected on the form below. However as places are limited please do not indicate both days if you only intend on attending for one as someone else may miss out on the opportunity.
To register your vehicle and receive your complimentary entry ticket, please complete the Vehicle Owner Registration Form below.
Only register 1 vehicle per email address. (Vehicle details are stored against the email address of the person registering and more than 1 registration per email address will cause data to be overwritten leading to only the last vehicle being registered and only 1 complimentary ticket being issued.)
Before registering please ensure you are able to attend for the full duration of the show as the vehicle access gates will be closed at 8:30am and will NOT be re-opened until after the public have exited the event site at 5:00pm
Please Note: Your club must be registered before members of the club can register their vehicle. If your club does not yet appear on the list of registered clubs in the "Register Your Vehicle" form below, please arrange for a club official to register the club using the "Register Your Club" form in order for your club to be added to the list so that you may register your vehicle. Please ensure your club is not already registered before completing the club registration form and only 1 person from each club to register the club. Club details are stored against the email address of the person registering and multiple registration causes data to be overwritten.
I have registered our Club, I can help you register if need be,
Cheers, John
