I met up with the TAFE Motorsport students on the Saturday to do a bit of testing & trying to get their Dallara F3 going for the hillclimb on Sunday. Its a very temperamental beast & due to the high cost of starter motor & limited budget meant a lot of pushing to get it started then some more workshop time to get rid of the bugs
But it did end up going & stopping
But there was some more pushing, hoping it would go on the Sunday
It was also great to see Greg, Ros & Brian come up on a test run for their van before the KidZFIX charity rally.
Sunday came around, & it was a great day. Its just a shame more members couldn't make it as it was just dad, mum & myself there.
It was also good to Gregs friend Brian also came up on the Sunday to check out the action after coming up with Greg & Ros on the Saturday in the panel van
There was a nice Anglia from the BLCC there on the day flying the flag for the small fords though.
Hopefully next time we might see some more small fords on the track
Here are is a video of the hillclimb from the inside of the TAFE Motorsport V8 Ute, to give you an idea of what its like to drive backwards around the mountain
Cheers Jim, It always hard getting pics of me at an event or something because I'm always behind the camera.
I didn't get a chance to have a run this time though because I had a bit of work to do. I had a gig taking photos of the TAFE Motorsport students at work, & I also had to duck away to do a photo shoot of a Torana during the day.
