AT this point in time there is no talk from the school about cancelling Sunday. There was no rain fall in the area yesterday and only light falls during today. Add to that the fact that it did get quite sunny there is a good chance that there wont be an issue. Remember last year it rained all August.
John from there site they want all cars to enter the school via Russell Road NOT Wades Road. ONE MORE TIME FOR THE -----
Entry for All British Day 2015.
All vehicles will enter the school via Russell Road gates from 7:00am. This is the main gates on Pennant Hills Road where the traffic lights are located. It is our aim to have all cars in place by 9.30.
Continue along Russell, Ryrie and Suttor Roads to the senior swimming pool then up to the tennis courts where A ticket holders will be diverted via the Hay Shed onto the Price Fields. B, C and E ticket holders will then be directed around to Doyle fields. As per past years Jaguar club members with a green ticket will be located on the very top field. Again there will be signs to guide you.
Remember to put you ticket on your windscreen! You must have a ticket to get onto the display fields.
There will be signs along the way and then people looking for your ticket so they can guide you.
Racing is cheap its when you want to win that it gets expensive
Today I spoke to Greg Kean, one of the organisers. He told me that the meeting was held last night involving the ground staff and others. There was no word coming from that meeting other than that the show is going ahead as normal. Greg told me about the possibility of traffic congestion on Pennant Hills Road, particularly affecting vehicles coming from the north turning right into Russell Road. He did say that to alleviate the flow into the grounds via Russell Road. For cars approaching from the west [Parramatta] that the Wade Road entry could be used if the gates are open and once inside you will be directed by traffic marshals. Wade Road is the street on the left immediately before the Russell Road traffic lights. For the BBQ we will be providing a sausage sizzle, but you are more than welcome to bring your own food to cook on the BBQ if you want to. Just let us know how many passengers you are bringing for our catering purposes. Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday.
