Here's a couple of pics of the show on Saturday. I kept getting distracted and missed a few that I wanted pictures of.

It was a fantastic weekend. I love heading out on a road trip. Always a bit stressful whether the car will make it there and back in one piece, but the old girl did a great job in the heat.

We called in at the Bathurst 12hr on the way home too. Those GT3 cars are just awesome.

Seeing van Gisbergen do some crazy driving in the McLaren right in front of us was a highlight.

Here you go Mark.

The rest of my pics are here. Again missed a heap of cars I wanted to get back to and take pics of. Not to worry, just a good excuse to get back there next year.

What a great event and it once again didn't disappoint, there was something for all tastes, a real automotive smorgasbord.
The show on Saturday, a little warm but it is Summer after all.
Dinner at the club also an entertaining evening with historic film
of the racing days at Gnoo Blas and the interesting stories
from Molly and Coral Taylor and Neal Bates of their rallying experiences.
Then to top it off, Leo Geoghegan spoke of his own times behind the wheel and other humorous anecdotes. Interestingly this year marks the 60th anniversary of Leo's 1st race and it was at Gnoo Blas when he was 17 years old.
Thank you to all those who came along for the weekend I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Geoff

Here are my photos from the weekend. Sorry it took so long, but between this car show & the 12 hour race I took thousands of photos.

All loaded up & ready to go to the show, the pack horse & the thoroughbred.

Stop for breaky on the way to the show

Here are some of the club members cars on display:-

Some of the rest of the cars on show

I loved this old Ampol tanker

There was also some old and new comparisons

The oldest car there was this 1908 vintage MAB. It was imported as a chassis early last century at some point used as a truck.
It was found 20 years ago in Wagga Wagga & re built to replicate the race cars that were used at Brooklands in England after WW1. By using a 27 litre, V12 Liberty Aero engine that was used in WW1 bombers & common after the war.

There was also some modern technology on display with the V8 that is being used in the Volvo V8 supercars.

I have uploaded a few more photos of the cruise on the Sunday

Here are a few of my favourites, the rest can be found here -

I took the Corty for a lap of the old Gnoo Blas circuit after the show.

Here it is coming through "The Radius" heading towards "Mental Straight"

Another view of the track, this time taken on the exit of "Mrs Muttons Corner". Good to see there are races still held on the old track, even if they are a bit slower pace.

Here are some of the cruise

Interesting what you can find when surfing the web (should be working but don't feel like it).

We feature pride of place in the first photo of the article.
