Join us on a cruise through some of the best driving roads in NSW.
This cruise has been organised so you can join in for a little or the whole lot. You can come on a short cruise up the Putty for breakfast, or continue with us to the Hunter Valley for lunch If you can only spare one day.
Or if you cant make it on Saturday you can meet us in Bathurst on Sunday for lunch & a few laps of the famous Mt Panorama race track.
It is a multi club event & anyone is welcome. This cruise is open to any car so feel free to bring your modern car or bring your classic out for a good excuse to blow off the cobwebs.
DAY 1 PUTTY ROAD & BYLONG VALLEY WAY We will head up the Putty Road stopping half way at the Grey Gum Cafe for morning tea. From there we will continue along the Putty Road to the Hunter Valley wine region for lunch at the Hunter Valley Gardens, which features boutique shops, places to eat, some fantastic gardens, playground for the kids, & even put put & aqua golf. This will be the meeting point for anyone coming from the Hunter Valley/ Newcastle area. After lunch we will briefly stop at Singleton to top up with fuel for the next leg down the scenic Bylong Valley Way to the quiet country town of Kandos where we will stay the night.
DAY 2 SOFALA-BATHURST & BELLS LINE OF ROAD Day 2 will see us travel to the historic gold rush town of Sofala. The oldest surviving gold rush town in Australia & remains virtually untouched from that era. From Sofala we will continue on to Bathurst following the route used by famous Cobb & Co that serviced the goldfields & was also notorious for bushrangers. Once in Bathurst we will stop for lunch & do a few laps of Mt Panorama & if you choose have a look through the Motor Racing Museum. After lunch in Bathurst we will head back to Sydney via another of the great driving roads, the Bells Line of Road, which was originally used by the Aboriginals as one of the first tracks over the Blue Mountains.

For those of you that are intending to drive the entire cruise and wish to stay at our motel of choice, The Kandos Fairways Motel in Kandos. Please make your own booking and let us know so we can see how many we are likely to have. Thanks |

Hopefully the engine will be back from the builders and tuned and the roster guys are kind, otherwise I'm looking forward to it. |

The motel has off street parking & the cars will not be visible from the road, it also has security lighting for those concerned about their cars at night.
Prices are bargain basement prices.

Cost per additional person per night Child 12 & under $16.50 Child over 12 $22 Adult $44
You can book your room by calling Maria on Ph: 02 6379 4406

For any other members that are still interested in joining us for this cruise accommodation can still be found at hotels nearby or several B & B's in the area. Call the Fairways Motel in Kandos [# is attached in promo document] and I'm sure Maria [manager] will be able to give you contact details. |

wow it did fill up quick. I will do some calling around & try to find another place nearby. There is also accommodation in Rylestone which is a nearby town that we pass through before we get to Kandos. |

Great to see so much interest in this one
Its going to be a fantastic weekend. I have been approached by a few people about accommodation now that we have filled the Fairways Motel.
There are a couple of rooms still at The Railway Hotel Kandos http://railwayhotelkandos.com/
So if you want to book a room you had better get in quick as I have found out that there are a couple of other events happening in Kandos that weekend & its getting hard to find a room. |

Ok, I have done a itinerary of the weekend.
Exact times may be subject to change on the run. It is mainly to give people an idea of when we will be arriving at certain locations if they would like to meet up with us on the run for lunch, etc.
If you are planning to come along please let me know where you will be meeting us so we don't leave without you.
My phone number is 0427 181 328 so that you can call me if there is an issue like you are running late.
If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask.
