NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Dear Member,
This is a notice that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Small Ford Car Club of NSW Inc is to be held at the Revesby Workers Club, Brett Street Revesby NSW, on 7th August 2013 at 7:30pm.
If you have not renewed your membership for 2013/2014 please do so before the commencement of the AGM. Only financial members for 2013/2014 Financial Year are able to vote at the AGM. You can download a Membership Application form on the website at http://www.smallfordcarclub.com.au/Documents/SFCCMemberApp.pdf

To the outgoing committee and to the club’s members,
As many of you know my husband, David, serves as a member of the Australian Defence Force, in the Army. Late last year after most of the club’s events had concluded for the year, David received confirmation that he would be posted to Gallipoli Barracks at Enoggera in Queensland. In early January, only a few weeks after the official confirmation was received, we moved our family to a suburb of Brisbane in compliance with David’s posting order. It is expected that David will be posted here for 2-3 years. We hope his next posting will return us to NSW.
Due to the events I just described I did not have a chance to explain to everyone our circumstances. I apologise for that.
Regrettably, our move means I am unable to attend meeting and events. I have endeavoured to try to continue to assist the committee and members despite the move. However, the move means that I cannot effectively complete my duties in the position of the club’s secretary. To try and continue in the role really would not be in the club’s best interest and would likely be more of a burden than a help to the rest of the committee. It sadly means that after 16 years on the committee as an office bearer I will have to step aside so that someone else who is capable of fulfilling the secretarial position can take over the role.
Whilst I am unable to fulfil the secretarial role I remain willing to assist the club by whatever means possible. I am happy to continue to liaise with Meguiars or other chosen sponsors, to assist with the promotion of club events, to co-ordinate / update any media (including online) places the club may have listings and any other tasks the remaining office bearers would like to assign to me, if the members wish me to do so. I could continue to do that either as a member assisting the committee or as one of the three general committee members.
Thank you to everyone for your friendships and support over the last 17 years that I have been a member. I am not leaving, I will remain a member and I be back (hopefully sooner than later).

You are a great asset to the club and members.
I thank you for introducing myself to the Small Ford Car Club.
You have towered on as Secretary even though being a great distance
away, you have kept everyone informed.
