Owen, pleased you are able to get some use from them. Please say good day to your Mum.

Guys, Owen's mum, Sue, known as Cossie Grannie was the driving force in NSW for organising the RS cars at the last Muscle Car Masters.
This saw the largest gathering in the one place (in Australia) of Sierra RS and RS500's at the same time. Vehicles were driven from Victoria, Queensland and Newcastle to support the passion.
It celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Sierra RS500. Unfortunately the MCM people did not give it the recognition it very much deserved
If it is not a V8, MCM don't want to know. My opinion.
Let's remind them that these little 2 litre Fords blew the V8's to the weeds.
As the former owner of an XTGT I feel qualified to pass comment from both sides of the fence. That is V8 and small Ford.

Regards.

Interesting comment you make about MCM people Al.
I've been approached by someone to help organise a
display at this years MCM to celebrate 50 years since the 1st
Lotus Cortina was built and I must admit I had a feeling that it would be treated the same.
This ignorance is on display every year at All Ford Day.
''If it's not a V8 then don't bother coming''
I do have reservations about whether it will be worth the effort.
Comments please....

Geoff

Geoff, I suggest you contact Sue in Newcastle for her feedback. It won't be all peaches and cream. MCM didn't live up to the agreed arrangements for display, amongst other things.
Arguably the Cortina GT500 was the beginning of the whole muscle car thing in this country.

My thoughts are go ahead and do it....you guys will get pleasure from it and the opportunity doesn't arise very often.

I think if you can arrange a parade lap (which the RS cars didn't have) you may be treated a little better particularly as far as position goes.

Keep us all informed.
