Hi all

Thought i should get around to introducing myself finally as im part of the club. Some people may know my cars from other forums.

Im Matt James and i live in Nowra on the South Coast. many moons ago my mum and dad were on the commitee of the cortina car club in Sydney and my family has always had ford ties. My father has 2 GT MK1 cortinas.

These 2 Escorts are my toys.

1: 1978 4 door escort rally car

Ive been running this car for a few years now and has plenty of good bits and pieces in it.
- straight cut 4 speed
- LSD english axle
- big valve pinto with 45's etc

Im planning to bring it to a few of your show days but i think its a bit rough compared to some of your awesome looking cars!

2: 1976 2 door sports sedan

I only just got this a few weeks back and i have plans to fix it up, I have already made moves to get a new CAMS logbook for it, but would love to track down its history as it has some brackets and 90lt fuel tank and stuff that makes me think the shell could have been a group c car once?

anyway heres a few shots of the next project!

Hope to meet a lot of you all soon :)

Cheers
Matty

Welcome Mattyj.

Great looking Escorts. You should bring them along to some shows, theres a couple comming up.
It doesnt matter if your car isnt a million dollar show car just bring it along everyone loves race cars.

Your white one looks familiar. It looks like one that I remember at NSW Road Racing Club events back in the late 90's. But it was pink & aqua then.

Phil usually set's you up automatically if you're a club member, may take a short period. Send him an email if it's not done in the next day or so.

g'day Matty,
Fancy seeing you on here
I'm loving how the new mk2 is looking. Its going to be one wild ride when its done. Keep the pictures coming of how its getting on too, I'm very interested to see how it goes. Just don't let too many of those house jobs get in the way!
