Our annual Classic Ford Cruise to Bathurst is coming up on Sunday 24th June. We usually meet at the Mcgraths Hill Mcdonalds on Windsor Rd (the one next to Winford Motors) and head up the Bells Line Of Road into Lithgow and then on to Bathurst. More details to come a little closer to the date. We usually invite other clubs to make this a huge run.

I've put my leave application in and its been approved!!
The usual recipe works well, we'll leave McGraths Hill MacDonald's by 9am for a cruise via the Bells Line of Road through Lithgow and on to Bathurst and the museum.
This year we'll use a time table and some suggested lunch shops etc to keep everyone as together as possible. Then cruise home by about 2.30-3pm.
How does that sound to everyone? |

sounds good, last time everyone got a bit lost when it came to lunch.
One good place to gather for lunch is the overflow carpark at the back of McDonalds. its huge near all of the fast food places so we can all get a grease & oil change at places like Hungry Jacks, Maccas, KFC, Red Rooster, Eagle boys drive through. & anyone wanting something else can grab it in town & bring it down.
Is there any thought of the backroads through Tarana after Lithgow instaed of the Great western Hwy?

That carpark sounds like a good meeting spot for arriving in town Neale
There were a few guys not keen on the backroads we took last time out, maybe a split for the run home? Scenic vs Main highway Cruise?
Cheers,
Phil. |

The weather prediction for Sunday is bright and sunny, perfect for a cruise to Bathurst.
Don't forget we are meeting at the Maccas @ McGraths Hill (on Windsor Rd, next door to Winford Motors) At 9.00am for 9.30am depart.
We will be heading for Bathurst Via Bells Line Of Road through Lithgow. Meet at the Bathurst Macca's first for lunch (Don't worry plenty of other food outlet's available).
Then cruise on to the track in one big convoy.
Should be a good day.

Have fun guys, dont forget to pack some warm clothes, its going to be freezing.
Heres a map of the meeting point in Bathurst. There are now two McDonalds & the one on the map is the second one you will passing Bathurst CBD
As you can see there is an overflow carpark where there should be plenty of room to park & meet up

We're all set to go, I have photocopied the meeting point/lunch spots and put a rough time table together for our time in Bathurst.
It goes something like this...
Arrive in Bathurst and meet at the overflow carpark.
12pm-3pm, grab lunch, head to the Museaum carpark, catch up, chat, look through the museum if you would like to.
3pm depart for the cruise home.
See you all at 9am McGraths Hill Mcdonalds |
