Gnoo Blas a show is on the weekend of the 11th & 12th of Feb in Orange.
Its held at the old race ciruit that the first ever round of the ATCC was held at.
They usually get 300+ cars at the show.
It looks like a great show, guests include racing icon and Ford Performance Vehicles ambassador Allan Moffat, V8 race director and former F1 driver Tim Schenken and president of the NRMA Wendy Machin. Ford Performance Vehicles general manager Rod Barrett will also be at the show and dinner. The Gnoo Blas club intends to have a special Ford exhibit aswell this year.
This one is the following weekend after Small Ford Sunday so its probably going to be of interest for anyone who cant make it to Melbourne or anyone who likes to drive .
I will definatly be heading out there for this one as its close to home for me. Anyone whos interested let me know & we can organise a combined cruise that may include a few nice backroads & a few laps of the Mountain.
We ended up tagging along with the RSOC guys & joining together for the show as there was only 4 of us this time.
The show on Saturday was great. It is in a great location with loads to see & do. There is really something for everyone.
There was a demonstration by the fire brigade on how turn an old pugeot wagon into a convertible, helecopter joyflights, fashion show & a display by the Army.
I was amazed by the variety of cars & trucks & bikes. With every thing from the 1900's to brand new cars & trucks shown by the local car dealers.
On the Sunday there is a cruise that is held that is free for anyone to join in. It started in Orange & headed out of town to Huntley Berry Farm where everyone parked & some chose to either have some morning tea or go and pick some fresh berries. From there we headed to the Botanical Gardens on the other side of Orange & had lunch that you could either bring yourself or pre-purchase & pick up at the gardens.
