This was a really great social event. Cars, fuel, BBQ and a great atmosphere. Thanks to all that attended for making it enjoyable...Yavuz and the Unigroup lads made us welcome, excellent BBQ dedication MarkL and everyone that contributed...
22 cars participated with a large range of members vehicles...Photos will follow from Theo, thanks mate...
Kick off was just before 10:30am with the new Ford Ranger (Theo's work truck) to see what results it produced...Moving through a number of different small Fords and a visit from the other brands and some modern cars too, most running spot on and others in need of a tune or just a tweak to get the best results...I hope you got the feedback you expected...
Here is the results board.

definately a great day. I think it was the dyno day yet. It was also interesting to see the comparison between sutch a variety of cars old & new.
My car went as expected & ford were not telling fibs when it came to power. I also learen't what RPM my car makes its max power & found that it has more get up & go than I thought .
It was also good to see the two ST170's at the end of the day battling it out for bragging rights.
Thanks to everyone that came for making it a great day. deffinatly worth the trip down for. |

Tweak of the day was remove your standard Pinto air cleaner and you gain around 7hp.
Phil Coffey rang me on the Sunday to say that it was a terrific day, he discovered that his car wasn't running the best when it first went onto the dyno (it was running very lean). When they put it back on at the end of the day to sort out the problem, Yavuz found another 8hp and the car runs a whole lot better.
He is so happy he came along for the day.
...... okay, back to editing the photos
