For those who are into Drag Racing we will be heading out to WSID for the Wednesday night Street Meets on Wednesday 11th May. You will need a Helmet and it must have an Australian/NZ standards approval sticker on it.

Bring your small Ford along and see what it can do, you don't even have to wear Drag to do it.

...Yes this "helmet" issue is a pain! we all have perfectly good helmets, but now need a "new" one...

I will come. I will bring my motorcross helmet which has "THE STICKER". I think my old man is going to come too and bring his patrol for some racing.

Hopefully i can get a break from work to have sum fun...Come on guys you dont need a 10 second car to have a ball (although it helps) n for all the circuit guys that say its easy come n try it, you may find it more of a challenge than you realise.

Is the motorcross helmet surplus to your requirements? If yes, what size is it?

Next time I can probably lend you my brothers as he won't be using it as he drives a defender these days.

Bit of a no show tonight which was a bit of a shame.
Good to see Phil and Tim out there for some support and there were 7 cars from the XR5 Turbo club which was good to see.
Big thanks to Phil for some good pointers, 3rd gear burnouts warm the tyres up very well.
The best for the night in my 2008 XR6 turbo manual was a 13.475 @ 108.72MPH and a 60' time of 2.028.
My Dads Patrol got plenty of attention and he was even interviewed by one of the commentators about his Patrol. He managed a best of 14.301 @ 96.41MPH with a 60' time of 2.324. Which is impressive times for a vehicle weighing a shade under 2.7 tonne.
My dad and I had a great night out and look forward to another night at the drags again. Hopefully we can get a better turn out at the next Drag night and I look forward to seeing you all there.
Fehlbie.

Glad you had a good night out guys...I just could not make it out there...Next time for sure we will have a larger turn out...The Patrol is awesome; nobody expects it to "get up and go"...The XR6T is performing well too...
