The Small Ford Sunday is on again in Victoria on February 6th, 2011. We have had a number of members travel down for the show over the last couple of years and they have reported it to be a great day.
If you're interested it is not to far out of Melbourne's CDB at Bundoora Park, 1069 Plenty Road, Bundoora.
This year we already have a large number of members committed to attend with a couple of different convoys heading down the Hume Hwy. If you're interested there is a thread already in the club section of the forum.

For those who are travelling down this weekend here is a map and some simple directions. Some of us are heading down on Friday with a stop over night, some of us are leaving early Saturday morning. We will be at Uncle Leo's truck stop at the crossroads from 4.30am. We will be leaving at 5.00am sharp.
Are you paying attention Hilton. The motel is Best Western Mahoney's Motor Inn, 47a Mahoney's Rd, Reservoir, 3073.

Directions: From the Hume Hwy, head into Melbourne, passing through Craigeburn, Somerton, Campbell Field, Ford factory on the right.
Continue past Barry Street and turn left at Mahoney's Road, K-Mart is on the left.
Continue along for approx 2 miles untill you pass Edgars Road. The Motel is on the right hand side.
I'll be at Uncle Leo's with the car on a trailer. Will be bringing the tent too so we can have some shade to sit in.
See you all there.

From the forecasts it looked like it was a bit wet Saturday. Did everyone make it through and not get washed away? Was there any trouble getting back through Albury? I read that it was kinda flooded there too.
Looking forward to the trip reports and photos. At least it wasn't 1000 degrees this year |

This was an awesome weekend. Have just got in the door back home so will update later, but here are some teasers;
Geoff got to meet "God". Who promptly began checking out the Corty.....

This is the moment the Lord commanded, "Yee shall fix this fuel hose"......

Naturally enough Geoff won Best MK1 Cortina on the day.....

And winners are grinners, the Small Ford Car Club of NSW wins "Best Club Display" on the day....

This is not only a good day but a fantastic weekend away. I urge everyone to join us next year.
Thanks to Wayne and the rest of the RS Owners who were with us. Good company and plenty of laughs.
Will get more photos up later.

Like Theo said, great weekend away. I had a ball & there are a few great stories. But I dont think you can put some of them here :)
One of mine was the 4 door, mk 1 escort that turned up at the pub.
Thanks everyone that turned up to make it a great weekend. Also congrats to the award winners on the day.

I hear Hilton had an accident on the way home.
Is this true, and if so how is he?
Which car did he take?

Yes he did. He is okay but very sore and very bruised. Typical Hilton didn't want anyone to fuss but we forced him to go to Hospital just to be sure.
...And yes Neale he even told the Copper about the Escort at the pub. We won't know about the Corty until later in the week. |
