Hi Lyndon,

Welcome to the SFCC forum

Is that wheel a long way back in the arch?

Cheers,

Phil.

hi guys,
its been a while since i made any effort on the van so i had a dig over easter put a set of 40mm dellortos and carter gold pump in it, im getting a new tank made atm to fit a few extra ltrs in it. I hope to get the van running soon then strip it back for paint and panel work. the front end needs to be sorted out its had a hit in the front left and badly repaired so i have picked up a new front end and will get that stiched on. Im going to give it all a go myself so ill take some pics and keep posting on here. my little brother is a painter so he can do the honours with the gun eventually. thats the plan anyways.

mk1 I reckon. has the F O R D across the doors.
Or you could turn it into a mark 1 by speaking with your local friendly panel parts guy

got the tyres stretched on over the weekend so i have to have a look how they fit

picked up some flares for the van they happen to test fit almost perfect with the 10" wide wheels im running. im thinking i will modify the front flare to bring it down a few inches.

.....big decision to cut the van but i think it will be really different and look fat once its done. I will get some small 10mm or 8mm nuts and bolts glassed onto the back of the flares and then line them up for install. hope to get the flares on soon and begin panel work asap.

the slow progress about to amp up as i have almost finished doing the house renos.

if youre gonna arch the van, at least do the right thing and get a set of steel arches.those fibreglass things are crap and only useful to reduce weight.
mk1 vans are rare and a windowless one is seriously rare,I would have a serious chat with myself before doing any arch works.
at the end of the day, its your van and your decision.
Good luck with whatever you choose
