Are there any special requirements for cars hitting the track at Marulan... or just basically roadworthy?

We are looking at a basic scrutineering more or less road worthy just checking for anything dodgy and we don't want you hitting anything on the track

Great

With regards to passengers... what constitutes a "driving advisor"? Will there be driving instructors at the track or can you receive "advice" from anyone who knows how to steer a car around a track?

Also, what is the start and finish time for the day?

Hi Sean
We will more than likely start at the ungodly hour of 9am and go to about 3pm or when everyone has had enough. As for the drivers for advice we are in talks with several V8 supercar drivers, money is the main problem, they want it, we don't have it. We have secured the guy that picks up the trolleys at Revesby Woolworths carpark and a street sweeper from Hurstville council, we're hoping to get better as the day gets closer.

I was asking more so to see if for instance you could have a friend as a passenger, provided they are offering advice of some sort?... or do passengers need some type of formal qualifications?

I should add, this is in reference to Part 10 of the Supp Regs.

At this stage its limited to Level 3 or above Cams licience holders as instructors. Being our first drive day we are keen to keep the risks to a minimum until we get a better idea of how to manage those risks

I would like to propose a meet up and convoy for Sydney folk heading down to Marulan for the track day. I was thinking we could meet at Crossroads (Caltex) Truckstop on Campbelltown Road for a 7:30am departure.

Anyone interested?
