How is everyone for the NRMA Motorfest any questions ? I know the NRMA still have not sent the info (map and Medallion claim form) so I wouldn't hang for it. Just make sure you are at the Domain Carpark (entry is St Marys Rd) before 7.00am (with your sticker on the windscreen). If you asked me to send a form in for you and have not recieved a sticker yet, ****contact me now****. I'll see you during the week Kyle. If you originally couldn't go and now can contact me I maybe able to help you. |

We had a great day at the NRMA Motorfest. 20 cars were on display from our club - a good rollup. As I said a great display from our club and an interesting parade of lookers checking out our cars. It was good to see some new faces bring their cars out for the day. Many years ago when our club attended this event we were true to our name; small amount of Fords on show, not now. We rival a lot of the clubs that attend this event. So a big thankyou to all that came and represented the club. We were situated at the Hyde Park end of the Motorfest. This is where most of the action is. It was a warm day but we were lucky enough to have trees near us for shade. This year there seemed to be a lot more NRMA staff around to do directing of cars which has been lacking in the past. On the down side the initial mail out of stickers and info seemed to be the major problem, however we all got there and we will see about medallions that were promised to those who were never sent forms. I will post up photos of the day shortly and please put up any comments or suggestions you have or funny stories like people trying to walk off with club photo albums or parking patrol officers trying to book Mk2 Cortinas. |

Very well run event. Had some great conversations with interesting people, some of whom were Small Ford nuts too. The Poms had a lot of great stories from back home about Cosworths...
The vast collection of different cars is impressive. There are some weird cars out there and equally odd characters that own them
The great range of activities going on in the city allows something for everyone...I felt compelled to hang around the car for one reason or another so did not venture too far.

Sure did, no cat or kid hiding their eyes this year. I think the RSPCA and DOCS were warned about him . However he had an array of council rubbish - surf board, esky, old radio, beach towel, etc. No offers to buy the van but someone wanted to buy the old metal esky. |

We'll that was an awesome day out. I'm glad i finally got to go. The whole family enjoyed the day. I think james enjoyed it a bit to much having a young aboriginal kid dropping a few E's in his lap on his toy dog. It was also slightly interesting when a guy decided he wanted our get featured folder more than us, after a slight confrontation it was back on the table. After the 30 minutes of excitment we decided it was time for another walk. I'm sure we'll be back next year. |

At the last meeting we spoke about the Motorfest, good and bad points. One point that was brought up was the public and their lack of car show edict. After speaking to the organiser he has no problem with us roping off our cars next year. He also commented on how good our display was and how it attracted the publics eyes. Good on you members. |
