Posted - 23/06/2016 : 21:11:13 Hi Steve, it's straight forward with cams, applying direct is easiest. Just fill in all their paperwork and post it all off with your photo. No special requirements for our club, but note that they know us as the Small Ford Sporting Car Club of NSW. |

I am looking at getting my CAMS license this week - is there anything i need to do with the club ?
Or can i apply direct with my small ford club membership details ?

Posted - 22/01/2009 : 16:46:12 Any club that is cams affiliated can issue 2S Licences on the spot.
The main benefit would be that you cant get a CAMS licence of any type without being a member of a CAMS affilaited club Our membership fee's are less than half the membership fee's for most other motorsport clubs |

You will need the application stamped by the club. You then remove the slip off the bottom of the form and that then becomes your 30 day licience. The remainder of the form is sent with the payment to CAMS |

Several questions
1) Does the CAMS licence application have to be sent to the club for official stamp/signature on initial application and on renewal or does it go straight to CAMS and they verify with the club.
2) The info below is directly off the CAMS WEBSITE does it apply in the above situation in our and any affiliated club.
First time applicants are encouraged to apply for their Level 2 licence directly with their car club in order to gain the instant benefit of a temporary 30-day licence endorsed by the club. This allows the licence holder to compete immediately whilst CAMS processes their licence application.
