I'm so pleased to see that our Christmas Party was such a success
even though it was cut a little short by the early arrival of that
violent electrical storm which threatened to carry all our gazebos
along with half of our gallant members who were clinging on to them and dump them somewhere between Mt Annan and the Pacific Ocean.
It was quite extraordinary and a huge relief that no one was injured.
Spare a thought for Bill Hamade, Mark Fenech and Peter Higgs whose cars were very nearly victims of some very large branches that were ripped from trees overhanging the car park.
Peter's car did suffer some damage and the full extent of which he is looking at right now.
Let us know how you get on please Peter.
To everyone who came thanks and I hope you enjoyed it and the kids I'm sure,
got a kick out of getting their presents from a rather rushed Santa Claus who was eyeing the oncoming storm as much as all of us.
Thanks to all the helpers and volunteers we can't do it without your help.
It was really nice to see so many people having a good time, even some laughter was heard at the height of the storm.
It will be a day we'll remember for a long time.
I had no opportunity to say hello to everyone and exchange seasons greetings, so from Glenice and I, please enjoy your Christmas and have a safe and happy New Year and we'll see you again in February.
[no club activities in January]

I would just like to say thank you to everyone that helped with the Christmas party, especially Glenice who did not stop the entire time that we were there, thankfully we left just before the storm as we had another party to attend, I hope everyone made it through without to much damage, have a merry Christmas and see you in the new year.

Steve.
