Posted - 28/10/2014 : 09:29:26 Hello all This event was a great success earlier in the year and was well support by our club members. It will be included again in our 2015 calendar (due for release shortly) and is one not to be missed. For those that could not make it earlier in the year this was a well organised and run event and is shaping up to be as good again next year.
However as the year is fast drawing to a close and this event will be here before we know, it is time to start our planning. While there are many options when it comes to accommodation in Orange they do fill up quickly so to avoid disappointment, or having to travel each day for the events, we suggest that you start organising this sooner rather than later.
The total event comprises of the Car Show on Saturday, a Saturday Evening dinner and a Sunday Morning cruise / picnic lunch however if you can't make everything just come to what you can.
In February a group of us did the whole event taking a leisurely drive on the Friday into Bathurst for lunch then the short run out to Orange then meeting for dinner. If you can't make the whole weekend don't let this put you off even just driving up on Saturday morning and back after the Show is well worth the drive (like we need an excuse to go for a drive).

It looks like Orange is gearing up for the Gnoo Blas car show next weekend. They had a small display of cars including an escort on display in the main street today.

Posted - 01/11/2014 : 00:04:34 Thanks for getting this thread up and going Glenn. A weekend away is always good. I think we are getting a taste for these which is fantastic. The promoters like to see club ''groups'' particularly from out of town. I have sent my registration form away. For those who would like to convoy out on Friday let's talk about it and meet Neale for lunch.

Posted - 31/10/2014 : 18:18:26 Shame that the 12 hour is on the same weekend so I can't do the cruise on the Sunday, but I will be there for the show on Saturday & the dinner.
Hopefully Will Hagen has been given the boot, he made a goose out of himself last year. Should be interesting to hear about Robbie Francevic. |

Posted - 31/10/2014 : 16:22:08 I thought that this event was a bit ordinary this year. Uncaptivating MC, ordinary speakers and average dinner. I think I will give it a miss in 2015.

We stayed at the Summer East Apartments which were very secure, gates closed at night and the cars parked out of street view.
Great weekend away.
